Our Mission

Orenna exists to accelerate ecosystem restoration. We help practitioners characterize sites, develop projects, and stand behind their outcomes, turning scattered data and hard-won judgment into a project record that remembers everything and can be accessed via chat. We are building the trust layer for environmental outcomes. Today, Orenna is the intelligence layer for the work that produces them.

The Haudenosaunee call

the divine spirit present

in all things, the life force

that connects every element

of the natural world,

Orenna.

Orenna

Orenna is a concept among Haudenosaunee people and reflects a deep understanding that ecosystems are interconnected living systems deserving of respect and care. We chose this name because it captures what we believe: that restoration work is sacred work, and the systems we build to support and verify it should honor its significance.

Companies funding restoration deserve documentation as trustworthy as the work itself. Practitioners deserve systems that protect their credibility and respect their time. That is the standard behind Orenna Verified Ecosystem Outcomes.

What Orenna does today

A restoration project carries enormous knowledge: site conditions, the reasoning behind design choices, the regulatory path, the data behind every number, and the decisions that shaped the work. Most of that knowledge is scattered the moment it is created and lost when someone leaves. Orenna gives a project one place to live today: a complete site characterization, a canon of source-of-truth files, a decision log, grounded reports and exports, and an assistant that helps the team carry the work forward. Because that record is built with provenance from the start, outcomes are verifiable when it counts.

Our Commitment as a Public Benefit Corporation

The same interconnectedness that inspired our name shapes our corporate structure. As a Public Benefit Corporation, Orenna is legally required to prioritize long-term ecosystem benefit alongside financial returns. This structure ensures that as we grow, our commitment to high-integrity restoration grows with us—not away from it.
